SXSE Painting Awarded to Lucky Wedding Couple

This gem was done, on the spot, at the SXSE Festival and was won in a raffle we held by a colorful gentleman named "Grath". In a classy display of generosity, he graciously offered it up to a young couple as a wedding gift (they had been married on stage that night at the show). What a stand up guy! Grath, wherever you are; much appreciated!

SXSE was a great event and we hope to attend next year. The acts were great and we got to meet some really cool ass folks. The attendees were great, showing up amidst a tornado watch, and we rocked all weekend to some fantastic music while supplying our twisted brand of artwork. We met the famously talented Jeff Gaither who was very cool. We swapped prints with him and talked shop. Special thanks goes out to Michelle and Wes who's hospitality is second to none.

Horror Hound Caricatures 3

PJ and Rodney were great Fellas. I hope we meet again at the next Con. I need to work on my weaponary a bit. PJ's Machete looks like a butter knife. Click image to enlarge

Tim was a great guy and has never looked better. Notice the ninja star accessory adorning his temple. Click image to enlarge

Horror Hound Caricatures

What a great time Horror Hound was. The attendees were fantastic and the guest list was a who's who of horror. Here are a few pix from that weekend to give you an idea of what I was up to. Click images to enlarge.

Horror Hound Weekend

Wow! I can't say much more. What a great event and such cool folks met! I shared a table with Cutthroat studio and it couldn't have gone better. Thanks Drew and Erika for a great weekend. Check Drew's SFX work at .

It was my best experience so far at a con hands down. The funniest thing about the weekend was that they also had the VFW convention held in the same hotel. Needless to say, the vets were not happy.

It would have made a great movie: "Vets vs. Zombies"

John Carter from Mars

Another fine story from my youth that I never got to read as a kid. I just heard that a movie is in the works or at least speculation is afoot so I decided to read the first volume and loved it. It's totally implausible but Burrough's descriptive narrative reminded me of the old Flash Gordon serials with Buster Crabb...

I had to draw it. Enjoy! Click the image to enlarge
